Jim’s philosophy is ingrained in Dehoney Financial Group’s approach to business; professional behavior, self-discipline, innovative problem solving and impactful customer solutions. Creating the right outcome for each and every customer is the DFG way.

After earning his degree in Business Administration from the University of Texas, Jim became a licensed agent for Manulife. A few short years later he formed Dehoney Financial Group because he knew he could better meet the needs of the market for multi-line insurance solutions.

The company’s reputation for hard work and integrity is a true reflection of its founder, whose greatest satisfaction comes from helping others succeed, and who does it with boundless enthusiasm, a light touch of humour and, perhaps most admirably, always with an infectious smile.

Jim lives in Vancouver with his wife Jackie Dehoney.

Dave Pundick, CFP

Vice President, Retirement and Investment Services

Dave manages Dehoney Financial Group’s Pension & Investment branch. He oversees group and individual retirement plans for DFG customers who appreciate his team’s hands-on approach to understanding their goals and retirement expectations.

Dave joined Dehoney Financial Group in 1997, having previously been with a major Canadian insurer since graduating from the University of Manitoba with an Honors Degree in Economics. In 2002, he earned his Certified Financial Planner designation and has been an active member of the Financial Planners Standards Council since that time.

Helping you achieve long-term financial success through planning and recommending quality investments is our #1 priority at Dehoney Financial Group (through CI/ Assante Financial Management Ltd). Dave has many years of experience working to develop a long-term plan that incorporates his client’s goals, current financial situation and investment strategy. We then recommend saving, investment and tax strategies to achieve those goals.

We don’t stop at implementation. We work with you, throughout your saving and investment career, to ensure you remain on track through continuous review and monitoring. When adjustments are needed, we will be right there with you to help keep you on course.

To reach our goal of continual improvement, Erin was promoted to Vice President, Client Experience in 2018. She has oversight on all our clients to help ensure the highest level of customer service is achieved and maintained. In addition to leading our customer experience strategy, Erin manages our Life & Living Benefits team and is a member of DFG’s Executive Leadership Team. In 2020, her role was expanded to include leadership of the Group Benefits Consulting and Account Management team.

Committed to providing outstanding customer service and satisfaction, Emese is proud to be a part of Dehoney Financial Group. With her first family home a mere five blocks from our offices in Vancouver, her daily commute often feels like coming home.

Emese joined Dehoney Financial Group on a term contract in 2019. Subsequently, she was appointed to Vice President, Finance. In this role, she maintains oversight and responsibility for the accounting, finance, IT, and compliance functions. Emese leverages her more than twenty-five years of experience in financial and operational reporting, administration, and human resources management in a diverse range of industries to support the operations of the company. She holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting & Finance) degree from the University of British Columbia and is a member of the Chartered Professional Accountants of British Columbia.
