Hence, as DFG’s founder he is building a next-generation management team to take the company into the future. With that in mind, Senior Leadership Team members hold meaningful equity stakes in the company.

Alain Bergeron is the Chief Operating Officer at Dehoney Financial Group. Alain provides oversight and support to each of our key business units. Alain joined our team in 2019 bringing 30+ years of group benefits industry experience having represented a national insurer as Regional Vice-President and managed several group benefits and Third-Party Administration consultancies. He brings a collaborative approach and supportive attitude to corporate strategy and business development. Alain holds his CEBS designation.
Alain is an avid tennis player and attributes his time on the court for improving his problem-solving skills off the court. At every chance, he spends time with this adult children.

To reach our goal of continual improvement, Erin was promoted to Vice President, Client Experience in 2018. She has oversight on all our clients to help ensure the highest level of customer service is achieved and maintained. In addition to leading our customer experience strategy, Erin manages our Life & Living Benefits team and is a member of DFG’s Executive Leadership Team. In 2020, her role was expanded to include leadership of the Group Benefits Consulting and Account Management team.

Sometimes life takes you on a track that you never expected or planned, but you end up where you need to be.
As Debbie tells it, she fell into insurance when her intent was to become a schoolteacher. She discovered the importance of insurance while working as a claims administrator for Sun Life and Manulife. She then had the good fortune to meet Jim Dehoney and thought, with teaching still in her plans, “Now this is a man I could work with” because he “truly cares about his customers and their employees.”
The same impulse that hinted at a possible teaching career - caring, mentoring and the satisfaction of seeing people succeed - she recognized in the relatively new Dehoney Financial Group.
Committed to providing outstanding customer service and satisfaction, Emese is proud to be a part of Dehoney Financial Group. With her first family home a mere five blocks from our offices in Vancouver, her daily commute often feels like coming home.
Emese joined Dehoney Financial Group on a term contract in 2019. Subsequently, she was appointed to Vice President, Finance. In this role, she maintains oversight and responsibility for the accounting, finance, IT, and compliance functions. Emese leverages her more than twenty-five years of experience in financial and operational reporting, administration, and human resources management in a diverse range of industries to support the operations of the company. She holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting & Finance) degree from the University of British Columbia and is a member of the Chartered Professional Accountants of British Columbia.
